What if I need healthcare whilst in Germany?

When travelling to Germany, you should ensure that you have a Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC), which you can get for free from the NHS.

Having a GHIC means that you can access state-provided medical treatment in exactly the same way that German citizens can.

It’s important to note that should you have a medical emergency, medical repatriation back to the UK isn’t covered by a GHIC.

Your single trip policy can be arranged to cover you for a trip that includes just one country, or, if required, more than one country if you will be arranging a twin centre holiday or intend visiting various countries during your trip.
